The Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association (APRIA) invites you to submit a paper for presentation at its 23rd annual conference in Seoul, South Korea. Konkuk University and Sejong University will be jointly hosting the conference in 2019. The conference dates are 28 July – 31 July 2019.
The Association welcomes theoretical or applied research papers on risk or insurance topics. Specific subject areas include, but are not limited to, insurance economics, risk management, insurance law & regulation, insurance company operations, corporate governance, public policy, health care, international insurance issues, retirement, employee benefits, longevity, social insurance, and insurance education/pedagogical issues.
The deadline for submission is February 15, 2019. This deadline will not be extended.
The deadline for full paper submission is June 2, 2019.
The proposal must be in English. Each proposal should be in two separate files:
1. One file containing the author(s) and full contact information, plus paper and abstract only;
2. One file containing no author information but with the paper titled and a detailed proposal (i.e., the purpose and importance of the research, methodology and data, expected results, and references). A full paper in lieu of the proposal is encouraged.

Full Paper Deadline. Authors of accepted papers are required to present their paper at the conference. They must submit the full paper in MS Word or PDF format by June 2 using the above link. Only full papers submitted by the deadline will be included in the proceedings.
Kyobo Life Travel Scholarships. With financial support from Kyobo Life Insurance Company, APRIA will be offering up to 10 travel scholarships to junior professors with less than 3 years of academic experience or a doctoral candidate who will be presenting a paper at the conference.
Yu Ziyou Memorial Scholarships. Additional financial support for up to 5 applicants will be provided through this scholarship.
Harold D. Skipper Award for the Best Paper. Applicants must submit completed papers by June 2 to be considered for this award. Award winner(s) will be announced at the conference.
